Position Title: Azure Support Engineer
Reports Directly To: Cloud Infrastructure Manager
Location: Columbia, MD (Remote)
Hours Per Week: Full-Time (40); including minimal after hours/weekend work (projects, issues, or maintenance)

Job Summary
The primary function of the Azure Support Engineer is to assist in the management, security, build, and maintenance of CRISP’s cloud infrastructure within Azure and Microsoft 365 Platform. Position responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, working with and managing third party vendors, and aiding internal and external customers. The Azure Support Engineer will help to manage our cloud environment and provide expertise and vision across the entire environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Azure Support Engineer will be responsible for the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Play a role in ongoing infrastructure design and build as our rapid growth calls for constant reevaluation and optimization.
- Perform daily network monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware and backups, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
- Manage Infrastructure Cloud tickets and requests queue to ensure SLAs are met.
- Develop, maintain, and support Azure Web Services and APIs.
- Maintain and configure Azure subscriptions and resources.
- Create and implement scripting solutions such as PowerShell/Python.
- Develop and maintain solutions/scripts to support the automation of Azure cloud configurations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as DevOps, Integrations, and Cybersecurity to ensure business requirements are met.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates and troubleshooting of the Azure Environment.
- Participate in the management and maintenance of the Microsoft 365 platform, specifically within Intune.
- Package Intune applications to a high standard, including QA, UAT, and Production deployments.
- Contribute to Cloud Infrastructure Knowledge Base and document work process.
- Configure and develop Intune: Configuration Profiles; AutoPilot Profiles; Security baselines; and Windows365 VDI environments.
- Resolve urgent production issues and incidents by troubleshooting and identifying root cause analysis, including documentation and preventative measures.
- Ensure all cloud technologies meet documented SLA’s, OLA’s and Security Policies.
- Ensures that CRISP’s vendors are compliant with contracts and meet all SLAs.
Must be available during normal business hours and be able to provide support if needed in case of infrastructure related issues off-hours.
Qualifications

- A thorough understanding of Network Infrastructure and topology, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Network Monitoring tools.
- The ability to diagnose and resolve issues within the company’s network quickly and thoroughly.
- Experience in designing networks for both industrial and corporate environments.
- Fundamental understanding of the following Azure technologies
- VNETS – including subnetting, peering and Network Security Groups
- Virtual machines – Windows and Linux
- Alerts and logging
- Storage accounts
- Azure Active Directory
- Experience within all aspects of Intune (endpoint management).
- Experience with the following Azure technologies a plus – Azure SQL server administration, Application Gateways, Application Service Environments and Key Vaults
- Scripting experience with either Azure CLI or PowerShell.
- Terraform experience preferred.
- Office 365 Administration
Experience and/or Education Requirements
- Experience using Microsoft Azure technologies is a must.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or computer science, OR equivalent years of experience plus certifications.
- Microsoft Cloud Certifications a plus.
- 5+ years in server/network administration.
- Familiarity with healthcare industry preferred.
